Spirit Fingers!
I was asked to help welcome the graduates into relief society at the Senior Recognition night. Mine growing up was a little formal, i.e. golden green ball. lol I came formal, but it was anything but formal. So informal, in fact, the chairs were put away while people were getting their refreshments so everyone had to leave to eat or stand. I had my little 2 minute speech prepared just knowing it wouldn't fit the environment, so I improvised! And what came to my mind first? Oh, you know it Spirit Fingers!! So my turn comes, I present the audience with my enthusiasum of sharing my R.S. pride with them, that it makes me so excited I have to get out my spirit fingers. I tell them how we are the world's largest women's organization, our creed is to save souls and take care of the needy, our motto is charity never faileth, and that we change the world. Inserted with oh, yeah Spirit Fingers between each statement. I started so I had to own it! I also talked about how much we needed them in R.S., it is where they belong, and visiting teaching. But of course it had to end with Spirit Fingers! Well, at least I kept their attention. he he. And I am proud to say Lucy now does spirit fingers!

Time Out!
Discipline has begun! And she is so proud of herself! Atticus and Avaree hit each other, so they went to time out. Lucy hit Avaree so she could go in time out like the big kids! She did a happy dance as I lectured her. She said sorry to Avaree, but refused to come out of time out. It was just too awesome!! She happily stayed there for 5 minutes, giving little cheers just to let everyone know she was in time out! It was her coming of age! Here's to next time. :)

My wonderful girl!
Avaree is great! aside from having a head slightly smaller than a ostrich heart, she is my girl. We all know I am a sap! Every family home evening or anytime I am telling them something I really value, I get a little teary. Avaree has started pretending to cry when ever she talks about scriptures or something that she did that she knew was a good choice. Sometimes it is like looking is a mirror!
