Lucy in a nutshell!

Our water heater has been losing its hot. Some days are better than others. Yesterday, I filled up the tub and put in my three little ones. It was an emergency cleaning. As soon as they are all in, they scream. The water is freezing cold! Atticus turns to Avaree and dares her to sit in it for 20 seconds. She in turn dares him to sit in it for 21 seconds. They are laughing and earning their polar bear club membership. Lucy all the while is refusing to be taken out of the tub. Because she is not going to be left out. She is where the party is at. I love her.

We enter our thirties with ease and grace!

Bobb and I had expectation for when we reached the dignified age of thirty. Our birthdays came and left quietly (mostly due to Bobb's request.) During our first week of being thirty we were visited by article after article that floated to our doorstep of what it is to be thirty: how to dress now that you're thirty, how to save now that you're thirty, what age defying products you need now that you are thirty, etc. Bobb and I let thirty come in and decide we could enter our thirties with grace and ease. So we thought...
Bobb's first day of the semester was rushed and a stressful day for him. He was in such a world wind, in fact, he didn't notice he was wearing his holy crotch pants until he sat down for lunch. His last thoughts were, "Great! Now I am the old, pervert man!" We had a wonderful laugh about it later!
I was trying some fun new make-up because I was feeling a little dated. I love new things! I walk out of the bathroom and my sweet son says, "Mom, you need to go back in the bathroom and LOOK AT YOUR FACE." And you know what, he was right! Bobb and I had a good laugh about that too. Well, we are thirty but maybe grace and ease will come when we are forty!

Fortune Cookie Avaree says

Here are Avaree's pearl's of wisdom: "You have to eat good food and take care of your body and then you die."
The best place to stand is on dad's feet no matter where or what he is doing, why you might ask? "Because he has big feet."

Lucy thought we were hilarious!

Sometimes we think we do look pretty good!

Holidays were wonderful this year. Halloween we spent at Nate and Emily's in Logan. It was another meeting of the Book Sharks club. Thanksgiving was really enjoyable with my mom's side of the family. I love you guys! Then Christmas we were lucky enough to go to AZ with all of Bobb's family. Yeah! I love you guys too! We enjoyed everyone's hospitality. We are greatly blessed! New Year's we stayed home with the kids, made them believe 10pm was midnight, did one firecracker, made resolutions and went to bed. Atticus and Avaree resolved to listen to Bobb and I more without any coaxing.

Let me do a quick catch up. From September to Now because I can! And let's be honest pictures are much more interesting than words!

Dinner and Atticus! dun! dun!

Atty hates dinners because it involves his arch nemesis: Vegetables! It was the usually routine, Bobb announcing that we give cake to children who eat vegetables. Atty starts complaining it is too hard, too much, too gross. I sigh and call him are ever optimist. And he retorts, "Yeah, an optimist never got a piece of cake!" We giggled and moved on. Then Atticus tried a different approach. He pushed his plate toward me and addressed us, "Mom, Dad, What is more important? Me or food?" I left the room to laugh. Bobb responded well. Atticus tried a few other attempts, but alas in the end the cake had to be saved for another day. Avaree however always makes sure she gets cake.
